My Art

I am an artist of all kinds.
I get ansty and have to create, not limiting myself to what is around. I call it Art ADD.
I can't sit still without making something. Creating keeps me sane.
I love drawing, painting, illustrating, cardboard sculpture, crochet, applique, and more.
I usually connect a lot of my writing and poetry to my art.

Here are some ideas for you to see what kind of work I create...

WORSHIP ART
In 2008, I had an experience that flipped my spiritual side and I dedicate most of my art to reflect this.
I feel as though the time I spend creating for my Creator is a time of worship...

  1. I love it. I sold jewelry beside you at the gypsy market one year and we bought one of your lost sock stuffed animals for my daughter. My husband and I loved the story and the whole idea. May God bless you and your work for Him. This is a wonderful encouragement for me. I am a stay at home mom with five children and sometimes I get really discouraged, but reading your blog and seeing the beautiful things you create all for the love of your Lord in spite of your hardships reminds me of why I do what I do. This is what He gave me and I am thankful again. Thank You. May God bless you and your beautiful family.

  2. Awww, Jessika. You are very sweet. Thank you for buying my dolls. They need love. They are a lot like me, that is why I love them. I was lost, but God used me anyways. I feel like I don't belong in this world, but God took me up and make me His own. Isn't that how we all are though? If we just give Him the chance to transform us, we are never the same. Thanks for YOUR encouragment. Do you live in Mineola area?

  3. I live in Alba. I think I saw you one day at the library in Mineola. Your kids are cute and seemed very well behaved. I have a bit of social anxiety so sometimes I think I come off a bit disinterested in people but its more that I am not sure how to have normal grown up conversation with some one I don't know. Do you do readings of your childrens books there? I have thought about writing childrens books just for fun. I get all these ideas then when I sit down to put them all together nothing comes out. I guess I carry a notepad around and write stuff down as it comes to me. I pray God continues to bless you and yes I understand the feeling of being swept away by God. After that nothing else satisfies. Not that it really did before but once you are truly filled and satisfied and loved by God you realize how false everything else really is. Have a wonderful day lady :) .

    1. I see this 10 years later. Thank you. I understand social anxiety. This is why I like to write. I always run my mouth and say weird stuff that scares people away. But writing can be controlled, deleted, altered to your liking. I am glad I saw this. Thank you for your encouragement. I hope you are doing well a decade later.
