LostSock Fashion

I am a sucker for
Plaid, Pearls, Polka Dots, and Paisley.
I like Nautical, Bohemian, and Rockabilly.
I can't define my style,
I guess it's just  "TabbyStyle".

Deep down, I know what I wear is not too important. My clothes does not make me who I am certainly do not define my inside.   I will never make it the most important part of my life. I know my closet could be attacked my moths and eaten away at any second.
Matthew 6:19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal." I actually find this comforting...
My design for this Verse...

There is a difference between fashion and style. Fashion is ever changing just like the world it comes from.   Fashion depends on the popular opinion of what is accepted. Fashion can be bought by the posh, and by the time it is affordable to the normal... well, it is out of fashion by then! One would go insane trying to keep up with it. Style, on the other hand, can not be bought. Style comes from within a person when they find out who they are inside. Although my style does not define me, it is an extension of me. Rather than being "Fashionable", I choose to be uniquely stylish.
My secret to staying stylish? THRIFT SHOPPING!!!!!

I do not spend a lot of money on my clothes. I do not pay attention to brands. I look for colors, patterns, shapes, and fit. I do like to play around and have fun with what I wear. Since I am an artist, I like to experiment with my look. I view myself as an ever changing canvas. I love playing with color combinations, patterns, shapes, and textures of my clothes. I am fascinated by what certain colors and shapes can do to the overall appearance of a person.
So, The "LostSock" theory I embrace applies to my style. I like to take things that nobody wanted and recreate them in a new way. They may not be seen to the world as "fasionable", but that is not my purpose. I believe that by buying things used by another enhances the quality and keep the wearer grounded and humble.
My goal as I dress is to every day wear at least one item that has been thrifted or gifted. This helps me during the day to remember my purpose here on earth. I am here to take "what this world view as Lost and Useless, and give it a new Purpose." This is the LostSock philosphy...

Below are some outfits I have put together that encompass my style philosophy.
